Warranty

All Inlight Products come with a 3 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty. Our 3 year warranty is important to us and should give you piece of mind when considering a Inlight product. By accessing our website and purchasing our products you agree to these terms and conditions.

WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Inlight Lighting  guarantees their products to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of 3 Years from the manufacturing date. Inlight Lighting guarantees their product to be supplied fit for the purpose and as ordered, and used considerately thereafter. This guarantee does not cover misuse or damage due to environmental factors such as exposure to extreme conditions, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, scratches, burns, or inappropriate use of cleaning products. This guarantee does not cover damage by freight. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear and in the case of faulty components, does not cover labour for onsite fitting. 

Inlight Lighting reserves the right to determine manufacturing faults and repair or replace any product covered by this guarantee. This guarantee does not cover damage to 3rd party property. Inlight Lighting products are made from natural solid timber, appropriate care must be taken. As solid timber is a natural product, this guarantee does not cover minor movement of timber panels or pieces over time.

Once the customer is notified their pendant is ready for dispatch, the outstanding balance on their order must be paid within 7 days. Inlight Lighting is not responsible for storage of products if the customer is not ready to accept delivery.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To clean the timber components, dust using a clean, soft cloth. To clean spills, dampen the cloth with water. Avoid the use of chemicals, detergents and glass cleaners. Never attempt to make repairs to any finished surface or electrical components without the advice and the assistance of a professional.

By cleaning your powder coated finish at least once every 6 months you can prevent signs of weathering such as loss of gloss, chalking, and slight colour change. This can be done using a soft sponge and a PH neutral detergent diluted in warm water. Gently clean the surface. To finish, wash the surface again with fresh water to remove any residues.

Our solid metal components are finished with a high quality wax which protects the surface from oxidising. This is not a permanent finish, and the metal is prone to oxidisation over time. When handling the pendant we recommend not touching the metal components, as this can leave finger marks. To maintain the metal, apply a small amount of metal polish and gently buff the surface with a soft cloth.

DAMAGES

If you believe the product is faulty take photos of the pendant and report the issue by sending an email to arie@lifeinlight.id within 2 business days of receiving your package. If the product is confirmed defective, Inlight will send you a replacement and reclaim the defective pendant (which must be un-assembled and in its original packaging) at our cost. Once goods have been delivered, Inlight is not responsible for any defect or damage which may be caused by:

  • Failing to properly maintain or store any goods before installation
  • Improper installation or assembly
  • Failing to follow any instructions or guidelines provided by Inlight

In the event that any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on this website immediately. Please check the latest information posted herein to inform yourself of any changes before engaging in any operations on our website.

Return

Please consider your purchase carefully, due to the handmade nature of our products we do not accept returns or give refunds. We work hard to design and craft a high quality product. If you are not happy with the fitting that you have received, please contact us and discuss the issue directly. We will do our best to resolve any issues and work with you to find a solution.

TIMBER VARIATIONS

As timber is a natural material with many variations within the same species, we cannot guarantee a particular colour, grain or appearance. The images on our website are indicative of the timber species described, and you may not receive this exact grain pattern or colour.

If you are after a specific colour variation (eg. light or dark) please let us know when ordering and we will do our best to find you the perfect piece of timber to craft your light.

We understand choosing the materials and colour schemes for your space can be a big choice. We offer samples of each timber species, please contact us to request a sample.

LIGHTING QUALITY

Before you order, please be aware of the technical lighting specifications of the particular fitting you are purchasing. We are not responsible if the light does not perform as you imagined, and cannot offer a refund for this reason.

All the technical specifications for each pendant are available on our datasheets including wattage and lumen output.

We are not interior designers, architects or builders, and we cannot guarantee a particular fitting will fullfil your lighting needs. We recommend consulting a lighting designer who will provide you with the best advice on your space.

Delivery

Pricing includes delivery Indonesia wide. All Inlight Products are made at and dispatched from our Workshop in Jember, East Java. We freight with POS, JNE, SENTRAL CARGO, etc;  depending on your location and package size. A tracking number will be provided upon dispatch.

MISSED DELIVERIES

If you are not home to receive a delivery a card will be left. You can then organise an alternative delivery day with our delivery partner or get in touch and we can organise a re-delivery for you.

DAMAGED IN TRANSIT

If an item arrives and the packaging, or the item itself, is clearly and significantly damaged you should accept the delivery. Before opening the package, take photos or a video clearly showing the damaged packaging and once opened take photos of the damaged product. 

You must notify us within 2 days of accepting the delivery, by calling or emailing arie@lifeinlight.if. We will arrange for the damaged item to be returned to us and offer a replacement piece within a reasonable time frame.

LEAD TIMES

The standard lead time for a made-to-order pendant is 6-12 days, excluding delivery times. All shipping is through  POS, JNE, SENTRAL CARGO, and as such Inlight cannot guarantee shipping times.
